General FAQ

What is the difference between a Client and a Brand?

A Brand is a record of a specific company, which includes fields like an organization name, address, and a business identifier like an EIN.

A Client refers to an account within TexterID that is connected for the purposes of collaboration on Projects.

In most cases, a Client will be invited to a Project to fill out their own Brand information. In other cases, Clients will be invited to fill out Brand records other than their own.

A marketing agency is a good example of a Client that would have an account with TexterID, and would be collaborating on Projects involving a number of Brands

Should I invite a Client on the Partners page, or invite them within a Project?

In most cases you should invite new Clients as part of the workflow for each Project, after you have filled in basic information about the project and are ready for the Client to fill out additional information. This way, a Client will have Tasks assigned to them and something to do when they accept the invitation.

If you invite a Client directly on the Partners page (outside of a Project workflow), they will not have Projects visible when they sign in and will need to wait for you to assign them to a Project in order to complete work.

Can I add an aggregator to a Project after I have created the project?

No, you must specify the aggregator at project creation time.
